We’ve all been there: loss. Grief due to death, a relationship break up, or shattered dreams. It’s a deep sadness. And, when we’re going through it, it doesn’t feel like it will ever end. There is no hope in sight. Like a cold winter when the sun will not come out. But Spring always follows winter. And one day we start feeling the warmth of the sun and we feel hope again.

Photosynthesis is the process by which exposure to the sun provides energy to a plant. This song is for anyone who is coming out of a difficult season and is starting to feel hopeful again. That moment when you smile because you know the pain is starting to pass. That moment you acknowledge the presence of God and realized you have never been alone and you never will be. So all will be well. I pray you hear the whispers of the God Who loves you so dearly and so tenderly and who gave it all up for you. God is with You. He breathes His life into You as you lean into Him - just like a plant in photosynthesis. He has good plans for you. He is your source. He is enough. More than enough.

Thank You Lord for Your promise to always be here with me. Nothing truly compares with Your company - Your embrace. Over time, You have proven yourself over and over again. You are the faithful One. The One Who will never leave. The One Who will never change. The One I can count on. The One I can trust. The One I can hold on to. The One Who holds on to me. I turn to You in heartbreak and in healing. So grateful to find refuge in You. So grateful that You re-direct my future according to Your good will and pleasure. I will never tire of thanking you, Lord. I will praise you. I will draw near every morning, every night, and every opportunity I get in between.
